Can I buy or download it now?+
Not yet. Fairway MR is in development. Pricing, launch timing and a supported consumer distribution route haven’t been announced. This is a product preview, not a checkout.
Does it run directly on a Quest headset?+
No. The intended setup uses a Windows PC, the Windows launch-monitor bridge, and a headset connected through Link or Air Link. Consumer passthrough support is still being validated.
How does two-player golf work?+
Two players share one headset locally. Choose to hand it over after each shot, or let one player finish the hole before swapping. This is not online multiplayer.
Which launch monitors are supported?+
The current integration targets Square Golf, with final hardware testing still pending. Garmin R10 and FlightScope Mevo+: development integration in progress. These integrations are not yet available to use; availability will be announced after testing. No manufacturer endorsement is implied.
What should I check before swinging?+
Check the real space for full horizontal and overhead club clearance, stable footing and suitable ball containment. Keep people and pets away. Passthrough and the hitting-zone marker are not safety boundaries.
What does pre-alpha mean?+
Fairway MR is still being built and tested. Features, visuals, hardware requirements and plans can change. This website shows the intended experience and selected development captures, not a finished product.
When will it launch, and how much will it cost?+
There is no announced release date or price. We will share confirmed availability and purchase details when they are ready. There is currently no public purchase or download on this website.
Can I volunteer to test it?+
Subscribe above for news about testing opportunities. Signing up records your interest; it does not reserve a place, promise a free copy or guarantee access. Any future test will have its own requirements and instructions.
Will it be available on Steam?+
Steam is the intended PC distribution route. A public store listing and release timing have not been announced. We will link to the official listing here when one is available.
Do I need a gaming PC and a VR headset?+
The intended experience uses a Windows PC and a connected headset. Minimum specifications, supported headsets and the consumer mixed-reality setup are still being validated. Please wait for confirmed requirements before buying equipment specifically for Fairway MR.
Can I play without a launch monitor?+
The intended real-shot experience uses a compatible launch monitor to provide shot data. A supported monitor-free play mode has not been announced.
Will my launch monitor need another app or subscription?+
Some integrations may depend on manufacturer software or separately licensed software. The current Square connection uses its official GSPro connector, so plan for a valid GSPro license for that route. Final compatibility, costs and release requirements will be confirmed before purchase.
Is this a replacement for golf coaching or a certified simulator?+
Fairway MR is being developed as a golf practice and play experience. Shot results depend on your monitor, setup and the software under development. We are not claiming certified measurement accuracy or professional coaching.
Can I give feedback or report a problem?+
Yes. Use Contact the Fairway MR team below and choose the relevant topic. Include your PC, headset and launch monitor models, what happened and steps to reproduce it. Please do not include passwords, payment information or sensitive files.
Will progress from a future test carry over?+
Do not rely on test progress carrying into later versions. During pre-alpha, data formats and features can change, and testing may require fresh saves. Specific test instructions will explain what is retained.

Contact messages are stored privately for the team and are intended for [email protected]. Contacting us does not subscribe you to updates. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes website traffic.
We use subscription details for Fairway MR updates and contact details to respond to your enquiry. We do not sell this information. To request access, deletion or removal from the list, use and choose “Privacy or unsubscribe”. Update emails will include an unsubscribe link.
